BC州は、人手不足が特に深刻な分野で労働力を確保するため、BCPNPの選考において、次の産業分野の人材を優先的に選出しています。
- Childcare（保育）
- Construction（建設）
- Healthcare（医療・ヘルスケア）
- Veterinary care（動物医療）
これらの分野で働く人は、BCPNPで永住権の推薦を受けやすくなります。

BC州の雇用主から、上記リスト内の職種でフルタイム・無期限のジョブオファーを受けることが必要です。
※Construction Occupationの場合は、上記に加えて、以下いずれかを満たす必要があります。
- Skilled Trades BCが発行する職業証明書を持っている
- Skilled Trades BCに登録されたapprenticeship（見習い制度）を行っている
